Students from Gauhati University celebrated Children's Day 2017 with children from UTSAH's Hafiznagar as part of community based Child Protection Programme.

Speaking on the occasion Miguel Das Queah, Founder Chairman of UTSAH said, "Different individuals, and groups reach out to us every year during Childrens Day. Since one of our main aims is to generate empathy, we allow various groups and inviduals to visit our community programme and organize various activities for our children. We believe that such visits help people from the mainstream or from more priviledged backgrounds get a glimpse of the aspirations of children living in marginalized communities. This also brings in public support and helps us strengthen the narratives of children living in the slum areas of the city, in a way that can help them achieve sytemic justice. "
