Laimwn Narzary who hails from Kokrajhar, Assam created history on Sunday by breaking the 25 year old national record of high jump in junior girls’ event.

She jumped 1.77 metre in the 15th Federation Cup National Athletics Championship-2017 held at PAC Stadium, Lucknow. At the PAC Athletics Stadium, Laimwn broke Bobby Aloysius’s record created in the year 1992, of the 1.75 metre jump.
 
 
The Executive Member (EM) of Sports and Youth Welfare, BTC Doneswar Goyari while expressing his gratitude to the athlete assured that the council would facilitate for her success in the near future.
