Assam Actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee of Bigg Boss Fame Donates to CM Relief Fund
GUWAHATI: Assam born television actor, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, has contributed to Chief Minister of Assam’s Relief Fund to help those affected by floods and landslides.
Taking to the Twitter, the actor wrote, "I have donated Rs 73,000 to Assam CM relief fund, and I feel that more people should come out and support the government in fighting this difficult time. My mother always taught me that the way I look after her, similarly I should care for my Assam, my India as they too are like mother.”
Earlier in 2019, Devoleena had joined as a celebrity contestant in thirteenth season of the reality TV show Bigg Boss. However, she had exited the show owing to medical issues.
Till now, floods in Assam have hit 11 districts and displaced more than 2.7 lakh people with one having drowning in Goalpara district.
The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has informed that incessant rains have led to flooding in 321 villages so far.
