GUWAHATI: The fuel prices are seeing a downward trend with prices coming down to Rs. 77.27 for petrol and Rs. 73.09 for diesel per litre as on Monday in Assam.

This drop has brought relief to the people as over the past months there was a spike in the fuel prices in the country that contributed to the rise in the price of essential commodities.

State like Maharashtra saw fuel prices skyrocket to Rs. 90 in the month of August-September.

It is to be mentioned that, with the 2019 Lok Sabha Election round the corner, the BJP-led government is keeping no stones unturned in its way to ease the life of commoners.

Govt. has not reduced the prices out of their own pocket (by reducing taxes etc.). Fuel prices have reduced due to the fall in the Global price of Crude Oil. Assam Media might be of the worst quality in the whole world
