Guwahati: Public Hand over Man to Police for Allegedly Running Online Prostitution Racket
The locals of Sreenagar area of Guwahati handed over a man to Dispur Police Station on January 7, Thursday.
The man has been identified as Umrao Singh who originally hails from Rajasthan.
As per sources, the man was allegedly running a prostitution racket online. Locals also alleged that Singh gathers personal numbers of women via illegal means. Chaos ensued on Thursday when the residents intervened and nabbed the accused.
The
Dispur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Prafulla Das confirmed to G Plus that a case has been registered in this regard.

Prostitution racket is the worst form of activities of anti social elements in our societies. It should be nipped in the bud in whatever way it is possible.
