Match between India and Sri Lanka will be a high scoring one, says Kohli
GUWAHATI: Team India has arrived in Guwahati to play the international T-20 match against Sri Lanka on January 5.
The first of three T20Is match will be played in Guwahati’s Barsapara stadium. Talking about the pitch at Barsapara stadium, team India captain Virat Kohli said that he believes the match will be a high scoring one.
“The last time we played West Indies here, it was a really good pitch to bat on. We expect the pitch to play really well and it’s going to be a challenge for the bowlers and again an opportunity to see which bowler reacts well to pressure situations,” said the Indian captain while addressing a press conference on Saturday.
Further, commenting on being in the city while protests against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) are ongoing, Kohli said, “The city is absolutely safe, we didn’t see any problems on the roads,” said Kohli.
