Places of Worship, Hotels, Restaurants, Malls to Reopen from June 8
GUWAHATI: After the four phases of lockdown followed nationwide in order to contain the spread of coronavirus, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has issued new guidelines for the re-opening phase - Unlock 1.
As per the new guidelines, the following activities are allowed with effect from June 8:
1. Religious places of worship for public.
2. Hotels, restaurants and other hospitality services.
3. Shopping malls.
However, the Health Ministry will soon issue Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for the above activities, in consultation with the Central Ministries/ Departments concerned and other stakeholders, for ensuring social distancing and to contain the spread of COVID-19.
These guidelines have been issued by MHA, Government of India. Assam state government guidelines may differ from the same and are expected to be issued early next week.
