Assam boy wins ‘National Youth Award’ in New Delhi

GUWAHATI: Krishna Mohan Singha from Cachar district in Assam won the National Youth Award 2016-17 in the individual category in recognition for his outstanding work in the field of national development and social service. 

Singha won a medal, certificate and cash prize worth Rs. 50,000. He was presented the award by Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju, at an event in New Delhi on Monday, August 12 on the occasion of International Youth Day. 

It should be noted that these awards aim to encourage young individuals and organisations to develop a sense of responsibility to the community and to improve their potential as a good citizen.
