Dhanteras 2020: What Not To Buy on This Day?
Dhanteras is celebrated every year on the Trayodashi (thirteenth day) of Krishna Paksha (descending phase of moon) 2 days before Diwali.
This year it is on the 13th of November with the Puja timing between 5:32 PM to 7:28 PM.
It is believed that buying precious metals like Gold, Silver & copper on Dhanteras is very auspicious.
But people should be cautious not to buy these 4 items on the occasion of Dhanteras:
1. Iron products or items: Iron attracts Rahu
2. Glass items: They also attract Rahu
3. Stainless steel: People buy utensils on Dhanteras but stainless steel items should be avoided
4. Black Items or vehicles: Avoid buying black things on Dhanteras. However, it is good to buy vehicles for some people of certain rashis. Buying simple stuff like Dhania (coriander seeds) and offering them to Goddess Laxmi is auspicious. Buying a new Broom is good too as Goddess Laxmi likes clean places.
