Singer Papon Celebrates ‘Rongali Bihu’, Organises Online Concert

GUWAHATI: Amidst the lockdown, singer Angraag Mahanta aka Papon hosted a special 'Rongali Bihu' festival by organising a three-day online concert.

The Assamese and Bollywood singer went live at 6.30 PM from Tuesday April 14, till today, Thursday on various social media platforms.

Popular singers like- Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, Shaan and Assam's heartthrob, Zubeen Garg among others, were also seen jamming with the ace singer from Assam.

It is to be mentioned that the live concert is dedicated to the festival, to spread positivity and bring people together virtually.

With the lockdown in place, the people of Assam are missing celebrating this year's spring festival "Bohag" or "Rongali Bihu". This online concert was aimed at providing them with some entertainment to enjoy the period using the digital medium.

Angraag Mahanta aka Papon's parents are well known Assamese folk singers, Khagen Mahanta also known as "King of Bihu", and Archana Mahanta.
