Rajiv Kumar Jha, Inspector of Schools informed this and said that of the 74 expelled, 23 were expelled during their Social Science exam, 19 in General Mathematics, 15 in English, 13 in General Science and 4 in Assamese. Altogether, there were 620 absentees.

Two invigilators have also been issued show cause for being negligent in perf

Jha mentioned that the district administration has taken a number of initiatives to curb unfair methods by forming flying squads, engaging supervising officers and enforcing Section 144 Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC) within a 200-metre radius of the examination centres to stop the assembling of five or more persons. The HSLC examinations are taking place in 16 examination centres across the district.

Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner also visited one of the examination centres in Harkishore High School on February 25 to oversee the conduct of the examination.
