Assam: Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park to Resume from November 1
GUWAHATI: Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve will resume for tourists from Sunday, November 1. This was informed by the park authorities through a tweet on Saturday morning.
The park which was closed for tourists since March due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and flood reopened on October 21. While the jeep safari was started in the Kohora Range, elephant safari remained suspended. However, elephant safari will also be resumed from November 1.
The park authorities have informed that tourists from both Assam and outside the state including foreign tourists have thronged in large numbers ever since the Kaziranga National Park reopened.
With elephant safari being one of the biggest tourist attractions, the park officials are hopeful that the inflow of tourists will increase to a large extent due to its resumption.
