Assam: Fake Currency Worth Rs. 12 Lakh Seized In Nagaon, 6 Arrested

GUWAHATI: A team of Nagaon police seized fake notes of denomination of Rs. 500 in Nagaon District on August 25.

Accoording to reports, a team led by Additional Superintendent of Police, Rosie Kalita, seized a total of Rs. 12 lakh along with note printing machine, one motorcycle and several mobile phones in the raid.

Police also arrested 6 persons in this connection from three villages.

The raid which was conducted in three villages are Gendhali Bebejia, Sonaribali and Amoni all located in Samaguri circle of Nagaon district.

The accused persons are currently being interrogated by the police.
