Assam: Junior College makes farming part of practical class, students sow paddy
GUWAHATI: Aspire Junior College in Udalguri, Assam is going an extra mile of educating students by teaching them how to sow crops.
As per reports, first and second year students of the junior college participated in sowing of crops as part of their practical class curriculum at Sapkhaiti of Udalguri district on July 7.
The principal of the college, Maihursa Boro, speaking to media said that the college has made it a part of the curriculum to make students understand and connect to rural lives and to understand the efforts of farmers.
It is to be mentioned that photographs of the students participating in sowing crops in their uniform have gone viral on social media, winning many hearts.
