Assam: SI Recruitment Exam Postponed as Question Paper Leaked

GUWAHATI: The written test for recruitment of sub-inspector (SI) of police (UB) in Assam Police, scheduled to be held from 12 pm today, September 20, was cancelled as the question paper was leaked. 

The decision to cancel the test has been taken as the question paper for the written test, to be conducted by the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), was leaked through social media in the morning on Sunday, informed the chairman of the recruitment board. 

Talking to G Plus Pradeep Kumar, chairman of Assam Police Recruitment Board said, “The paper was circulated through WhatsApp and a copy came to me. I checked if it was indeed the original question paper or not and found it was the same paper. Accordingly the paper is cancelled and a case will be registered with the CID.”

The exam will be rescheduled after new papers are ready. 

Notably, many candidates had finished answering half the paper when it was informed to them that the paper has been cancelled. 

The recruitment board received the information at around 11.30 AM and the exam started at 12 PM.

There are a total of 156 centers for the exam in Assam and by 12.30 PM - 1 PM all the centers were informed of the cancellation.

    Safety measures should full proof. Mere cancellation due paper leak is of great offence. Students who have prepared for the exam their mental condition. Pls try your level best not to happen such incidents in near future
