Assam SI Recruitment Examination to be Held Within One Month
GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has directed the Chairman of the state-level police recruitment board to hold Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment written examination within one month in a transparent manner.
The direction was given after Chief Minister Sonowal had a meeting with the top brass of the police force on the leakage of question paper of the examination. He also said that conspirators will be brought to book soon and will be punished.
r /> The written test for recruitment of sub-inspector (SI) of police (UB) in Assam Police, was cancelled on September 20.
The decision to cancel the test was taken as the question paper for the written test, to be conducted by the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), was leaked through social media in the morning on Sunday.
Notably, many candidates had finished answering half the paper when it was informed to them that the paper has been cancelled.
The recruitment board received the information at around 11.30 AM and the exam started at 12 PM.
