Assam Student Modifies Bicycle That Runs On Petrol
GUWAHATI: Guninda Krishna Mahanta, a student of Dibrugarh University has developed a bicycle which runs on fuel.
According to reports, the bicycle has an 80 CC 2-stroke engine which gives a mileage of 26 kilometres per litre of petrol.
A resident of Majuli, Mahanta is pursuing his Masters’ degree in Physics. He stated that the manufacturing cost of this bicycle is around Rs 21,000.
“After several trials and errors, I came up with this bicycle. It took a lot of patience, hard work and observation. I worked day and night with the little resources I had,” he said.
