Assamese artists shine at Mumbai Art Exhibition
A group 29 talented artists from various places took part in an exhibition called 'The Bridge' at Mumbai, and displayed artistic paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures that mesmerized the audience.
The artists from Assam are - Aditi Chakravarty, Akarnov Goswami, Aminul Haque, Anup Kr Sarma, Atul Chandra Baruah, Bhupen Chakravarty, Bikramaditya Choudhury, Champak Barbara, Ditimani Das Mahanta, Deepali Mahanta, Gautam Kumar Goswami, Hela Das, Hemanta Sahoo, Jaya Boro, Joydeep Bhattacharyee, Kamal Kumar Mahanta, Manika Devi, Manoj Chakravarty, Mrinal Kumar Nayak, Parikshit Baruah, Parineeta Bujar Baruah, Prabin Kumar Nath, Saleha Ahmed, Sanchita Gogoi, Shyamali Chaliha, and Sujata Bhowmick.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prabhakar Kolte, an eminent Indian contemporary artist.
As the name suggests, the idea of the exhibition was to bring likeminded artists closer to one another through the same media.
The artists through their art works have taken the rich heritage of North East to a higher platform.
