Bhaichung Bhutia to Play in Guwahati for International Football Championship
GUWAHATI: Former Indian Football captain Bhaichung Bhutia will be seen participating in the sixth edition of the “International Veteran Football Championship 2020” in Guwahati.
The tournament is scheduled to be held from January 30 to February 2.
The four-day long competition is organized by United Brothers Club (UBC) and this will be the sixth edition of the championship.
The International Veteran Football Championship 2020, organized by the United Brothers’ Club (UBC) will be played in the field of Sports Authority of India (SAI) at Paltan Bazar in Guwahati.
Bhaichung Bhutia will be playing on behalf of Sikkim. A number of football teams from various parts of the country are expected to take part in the competition.
However, the prime attraction of this year’s Veteran Championship shall be the participation of Jessore Club from Bangladesh and Nepal.
This time, along with Meghalaya, Assam, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Sikkim, the Veteran Football Championship 2020 will be played by Jessore Club from Bangladesh, Nepal.
The champion team of the tournament will take away cash reward of Rs 50,000 along with the glittering trophy and the runners up team will receive prize money of Rs 30,000.
