CBSE To Restrict Subject Change In Class 10 & 12
GUWAHATI: Schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will now not be able to allow any request for subject change in class 10 and 12 as parents or students make their own arrangements to study.
The board has made the Standard Operating Procedures for schools to handle requests for subject change.
Since class 10 and 12 are two-year courses, CBSE states that schools should counsel students into opting for chosen subjects in class 9 and 11.
From now, if students want to change subjects, they will have to request it before July 15 of the academic session.
