Congress-AIUDF Nominates Veteran Journalist Ajit Bhuyan as Rajya Sabha Candidate
GUWAHATI: Assam Congress and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chose veteran journalist, Ajit Kumar Bhuyan as one of the three candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha Election.
Ajit Bhuyan has been vocal on the anti-CAA stand and was the former editor-in-chief of the local city-based satellite news channel in Guwahati.
It is to be mentioned that earlier AIUDF has proposed the name of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, however, Congress pushed for an anti-CAA an
d non-political candidate for the elections.
