COVID-19 Recoveries Cross 1 Lakh-Mark in Assam
GUWAHATI: With the recovery of 2,166 more COVID-19 patients in the last 24 hours, Assam has crossed the 1 lakh mark of recovered patients.
Informing the recent numbers, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted on social media platforms, “Discharge Alert: 2166 discharge today, we have crossed 1 Lakh recovered patients.”
“We bow down to efforts of medical team. With this spirit, we shall win over #COVID19,” he added.
Assam recorded 2,579 fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, September 8. The cases were detected from all across the state, out of 34,462 COVID tests conducted.
With this, the total number of COVID cases in Assam has gone up to 1,30,823. Active cases in Assam stands at 29,203 while 1,01,239 persons have been cured from the virus.
The COVID-19 death toll in Assam stands at 378.
"Gratitude to all doctors, nurses and paramedical staff for their selfless service in our fight against COVID-19 in Assam," expressed Sarma.
