Drugs worth Rs. 34 lakh seized from Rajdhani Express in Guwahati
GUWAHATI: Guwahati GRPS apprehended two women with 175 small pouches containing 195 Yaba tablets each from Rajdhani Express train at Guwahati Railway Station on July 18.
The two women have been identified as Soma Paul (26) and Sangita Modak (30) and they hail from Alipurduar, West Bengal.
According to officials, the accused were moving the consignment to Alipurduar from Dimapur, Nagaland.These tablets were supposed to be delivered in Bangladesh.
The official further informed that a case under the NDPS Act has been registered and an investigation is underway.
