Election Commission of India (ECI) to Visit Assam Today to Review Poll Preparedness
GUWAHATI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to visit Assam to examine poll preparedness for the upcoming general election to the Assam Legislative Assembly 2021, from 18th January to 20th January, 2021.
Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora will be joined by Election Commissioners Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar, along with Director General of ECI Dharmendra Sharma, Deputy Election Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Kumar, Additional Director Genera
l of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) and spokesperson of ECI Sheyphali B Sharan, and other senior officials of the ECI.
During its visit, the commission will have meetings with Chief Electoral Officer and Police Nodal Officer, Political Parties, Election Related Regulatory Agencies, District Election officers and Superintendents of Police and Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Director General of Police and other senior officials at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati. A press conference will also be conducted by the Commission.
The Commission will depart from Guwahati on 20th January, 2021.
