FIR against Subramanian Swamy for cocaine remark against Rahul Gandhi
GUWAHATI: An FIR has been registered against Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy for alleging that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi does cocaine.
“We have lodged an FIR against Subramanian Swamy at Kotwali Nagar Barabanki over his remark, ‘Congress president Rahul Gandhi consumes cocaine’. We have demanded strict action against Subramanian,” Congress national spokesperson PL Punia told ANI.
According to reports, another FIR was filed against Swamy at Patthalgaon police station in Chhattisgarh. It was based on a complaint by Jashpur district Congress President Pawan Agarwal.
Responding to this, Swamy wrote on Twitter: “I am surprised that Chattisgarh Police has registered a FIR against me for allegedly saying that RG is a consumer of cocaine hence created disorder in Congress. This FIR is stupid because the police did not do a Dope test to verify the truth.”
