First batch of Hajj pilgrims from Assam all set to leave for Jeddah
GUWAHATI: Around three thousand pilgrims from Assam are all set to begin their journey to holy Mecca on July 4.
Currently the pilgrims are now being stationed at a temporary camp in Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, wherein security personnel will check the important documents required for the pilgrimage.
It is to be mentioned that Deepak Kumar, Commissioner of Police, visted the campsite and took stock of the security and arrangements.
