Goa CM Manohar Parrikar passes away after Prolonged Illness
GUWAHATI: Goa Chief Minister and former Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar, who had been battling a pancreatic ailment for more than a year, has died in Panaji. He was 63.
Parrikar's health had been fluctuating for several days which was worsened on March 16 and has been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, Delhi and New York since February last year.
Earlier in January Parrikar said, "will serve Goa till my last breath." In the recent months Parrikar made public appearances with a tube in his nose.
