Guwahati: Karimganj Police Arrests Former DC Pradip Kumar Talukdar In Land Port Scam
GUWAHATI: Former Deputy Commissioner of Kamrimganj, Pradip Kumar Talukdar has been arrested by a team from the Kamrimganj police in Guwahati on August 17 and sent him to two-day police custody.
Talukdar was arrested for his alleged involvement in a multi-crore land scam associated with a Central government project, Land Port Authority of India (LPAI).
Pradip Kumar Talukdar has been involved in manipulation during land acquisition for LPAI at Karimganj.
Earlier, he was suspended on July 19, 2019 when he was working at the Cooperative Department in Guwahati.
Meanwhile, three others were already arrested in Karimganj with reference to these cases.
