Guwahati to host India vs West Indies ODI late 2018
The much controversial India vs Australia T20 match in Guwahati at the Barsapara Stadium seemed to be the final nail in the coffin for Guwahati’s aspirations to host another cricket match, possibly for another decade, despite the ACA (Assam Cricket Association) developing a world class stadium here In the city.
However, it looks like the pleas of cricket lovers’ in Guwahati were heard and the city will host an ODI (One Day International) between India and West Indies in early November.
The other venues for the five ODIs matches include Mumbai, Kochi, Indore and Pune.
This tour will also include India’s maiden day-night Test match, which is a test match played under flood lights; the venue for which is likely to be either Hyderabad or Rajkot.
"If the Committee of Administrators (CoA) gives its approval, one of the two centres will host the Test under floodlights," a BCCI source told PTI.
