GUWAHATI: A group of five youths identified as Pawan Barali, Rahul Bordoloi, Bikash Terang, Satyanath Gogoi and Julius Muchari from Guwahati had gone for camping in Sohra, Cherapunjee on January 21 to capture the beauty of this place through videography and photography.

However, their beautiful trip turned into a nightmare when around 9.30pm to 10 pm, while they were cooking in their tents, they heard sounds of glass breaking from near the place where they park their car (swift) bearing reg no. As01 DJ 7683.

They found out that their car was vandalized by unknown miscreants by using stones. After the incident, they took pictures and videos of the incident and reported it to the local police. An FIR was filed at Lumdiengjri Police Station while the Sohra police invested the case.

This incident has created a negative impression of Sohra, which is otherwise considered as one of the most attractive tourist spots all over the country.
