Hima Das’ brand value doubles after 5 golds
GUWAHATI: After displaying stellar performances consistently over the past three weeks and winning fifth consecutive gold medal, ace sprinter from Assam Hima Das’ endorsement fee has doubled.
As per reports, the 19-year-old sprinter’s fees have gone up from around Rs 30-35 lakh a year per brand to about Rs 60 lakh annually.
“Hima’s brand value has doubled because of consistent performance over the past three weeks,” said Neerav Tomar, managing director at sports management firm IOS, which exclusively represents Das.
“The space of brand endorsements is directly proportional to consistency in performance and visibility. She is being talked about across different platforms globally,” he added.
Das currently endorses Adidas sportswear, Star Cement, State Bank of India and Edelweiss Financial Services.
Reportedly, IOS is now in talks with new brand deals across different categories including tyres, watches, energy drinks, food and cooking oil.
