HSLC pass percentage drops this year as compared to 2010
GUWAHATI: The pass percentage of students this year in High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examinations has come down as compared to ten years ago in 2010.
A total of 63.22% students passed the examinations in 2010 while this dropped to 60.23 % this year. The HSLC results were declared on Wednesday, May 15.
However, the percentage of students passing the examination has improved consistently over the past three years. A total of 47.94 % students had passed the examination in 2017, which increased to 56.04% the next year and this further improved to 60.23 % this year.
The trend of pass percentage saw a consistent rise from 2010 to 2013. This then dipped in 2014 and in 2017. The year 2017 saw the lowest pass percentage over the past many years with merely 47.94 % students successfully passing the examination.
