India Set To Ban 6 Single-Use Plastic Items From Oct 2 Onwards
GUWAHATI: The government of India is likely to impose a nation-wide ban on plastic bags, cups and straws from October 2 onwards.
According to an official announcement, the ban imposed on single-use plastic will help to eradicate plastic waste from cities and villages of India.
It is to be mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the campaign with a ban on as many as six items on October 2.
These include plastic bags, cups, plates, small bottles, straws and certain types of sachets.
