GUWAHATI: Minister of state for (MoS) Sports and Youth Affairs, Kiren Rijiju assured coaching for Karnataka man who was compared with Usain Bolt after he ran the traditional buffalo race, Kambala and covered 142.50 meters in just 13.62 seconds.
Srinivasa Gowda, 28, took the internet by storm after a video of him running in a slushy field went viral on social media.
The timing was enough to make Gowda the fastest runner in the history of the sport, breaking a 30-year-old record.

I'll ensure that no talents in India is left out untested.”
He further added that the SAI officials have already contacted him.
“Officials from SAI have contacted him. His rail ticket is done and he will reach SAI centre on Monday. I will ensure top national coaches to conduct his trials properly. We are team @narendramodi ji and will do everything to identity sporting talents!”
Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra had earlier tweeted: “Just one look at his physique & you know this man is capable of extraordinary athletic feats. Now either @KirenRijiju provides him training as a 100m sprinter or we get Kambala to become an Olympic event. Either way, we want a gold medal for Srinivasa!”
