Living root bridge in Mawlynnong, Meghalaya affected by flood

GUWAHATI: With the flood situation in the northeast region becoming worse, neighbouring state Meghalaya has also been affected.   

As per reports, the famous tourist destination of the state, living root bridge has also been submerged by flood water.

According to media reports, due to the rains tourists are unable to visit the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong.      

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has assured that all necessary measures will be taken as a precautionary intervention in the wake of flood in plain belt areas of the hill state.
