Lok Sabha Elections: Amit Shah targets all 14 seats in Assam
GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah reached Kaliabor on Thursday to campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking during the occasion, he announced that along with their allies Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), the BJP should sweep all the 14 parliamentary seats in Assam. He also urged all the party workers to work hard towards achieving the target.
Among others present during the occasion included, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma among other MLAs and party leaders.
Kaliabor constituency will go to polls in the first phase of elections in Assam. The Lok Sabha elections will take place in three phases in Assam on April 11, 18 and 23 respectively.
