Lt Col M.S Dhoni Deployed In Kashmir Valley

GUWAHATI: Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni will serve the Indian army in Kashmir and will undertake the duties of patrolling, guard and post duty for about 15 days, the Indian Army said in a statement on Thursday, July 25.

“Lieutenant Colonel (Honorary) MS Dhoni is proceeding to 106 Territorial Army Battalion (Para) for being with the Battalion from 31 July-15 Aug 2019,” the ANI tweeted on Friday. 

It is to be mentioned that MS Dhoni, who holds the hono
rary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army unit of the Parachute Regiment (106 Para TA battalion), was accorded the honour by the Indian Army in 2011.

Dhoni has taken a two-month break from cricket to serve his regiment and will be unavailable for the West Indies tour.

    These types of posts should be constrained from publishing in the media as it may interfere in the security of our officer ( herein Dhoni) n also the battalion. Media should never disclose place of posting of a defence personnel & what sort of duties he shall carry.
