Meghalaya govt issues high alert due to heavy rainfall
GUWAHATI: The Meghalaya government has issued an alert across the state because of heavy rainfall witnessed in the span of the last 24 hours.
The state is being plagued by flash floods and landslides, with reports coming in of the latter near AG office and Malki in Shillong.
Based on reports, Meghalaya has witnessed 72.2 mm of rain during the last 24 hours and the state government has urged all people in the region to take appropriate precautions and
to stay indoors.
