Minors From Assam Rescued In Bihar
GUWAHATI: Acting on a tip-off, a team from Assam police along with CID launched a joint operation and managed to rescue minor girls from East Champaran in Bihar.
According to reports, 13 minor girls including three children was lured by a local woman identified as Bokuli Bordoloi in pretext of providing jobs at a dance centre in Muzzafarpur in Bihar.
Police have arrested two persons namely Dipak Kumar and Anil Kumar in connection to the case.
In the meanwhile police are in the process of handing over the minors to their respective families after legal formalities.
Earlier, in August 6 a dance troupe from Assam was rescued in Bihar after an altercation ensued between the dance troupe members and the organisers.
The dancers were left stranded in Bihar for three days before the Chhapra police rescued them and then contacted Guwahati police.
