Modi supporters take out bike rally without Helmets
GUWAHATI: Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi had reached Guwahati on February 8th to start 4 massive projects in the state.
He is scheduled to address a huge gathering of over 3 lakh people at Changsari today (February 9th) and initiate the construction work of AIIMS with a bhuumi pujan. On the occasion of Modi's visit, a bike rally from Changsari will also be taken out by BJP supporters, where more than 20,000 people will take part.<
p>With BJP flags in their hands and slogans like "BJP Zindabaad" and "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" echoing the streets, the rally seems to have gone off to a flying start.
However, most of the supporters were seen coming out to the streets for the rally without helmets. Whether near Dispur, Guwahati Club circle or the Jalukbari circle, not a single rider could be seen wearing helmets.
Additionally, while security has been beefed up in the city, the traffic police has failed to address this violation. While "frenzy" is one thing, it is clearly a violation of traffic rules.
