Nagaland Hands Over Bamboo Barricades to Delhi Police
GUWAHATI: As a goodwill gesture, the Dimapur Police has handed over 40 bamboo barricades to Delhi Police for their use in traffic management at the national capital.
The bamboo barricades were received by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Traffic (HQ) New Delhi on behalf of the Delhi Police.
G Plus spoke to ADCP Crime Dimapur Police Relo T Aye who stated that the initiative was aimed "to promote local products as bamboo is widely availab
le in Nagaland".
The Dimapur police also stated their intentions of promoting local products.
"The barricades were gifted keeping in view to promote Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative," added Relo.
"Here in Nagaland we use Bamboo barricades and we thought why not share this eco-friendly idea," Vilakhoto Angami, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) told G Plus.
