Patient Safety week at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Patient safety has always been a major concern for the leading health care organizations, and Narayana Health is no exception. With that in mind, Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Guwahati, celebrated Quality & Patient Safety Week 2018 from December 3-7. 

Because of its complex nature, health care service is always associated with some kind inherent risks like Hospital Acquired Infections, medication errors, blood transfusion reactions, fire Incidents, patient falls, radiations hazards and so on. Majority of these are preventable only by creating awareness among health care workers, patients and family members. 

The hospital celebrated the Quality & Patient Safety Week 2018 by organizing various activities like Poster Competition, Slogan writing, Video clip presentation, Process flow writing, Quiz competition, Mock Drills by National Disaster Response Force NDRF, experience sharing by consultants etc.

The closing ceremony on 7th of December was attended by Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Airport Director, Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati and many other dignitaries where all the winners of various competitions were felicitated with different prizes and accolades.
All doctors, administrators, managers, nursing staffs, technicians, paramedical staffs, housekeeping staffs, security staffs actively participated in this awareness campaign to promote Quality and safer health service initiative. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abid Tauqeer, Facility Director of Narayana Superspeciality Hospital said, “We are committed to provide safe and quality health care to the society and is of the utmost priority. It has been a culture across the organization and this is possible only because each member of organization gives their 100% to meet all the quality and safety standards, every day.”
