PM Modi to Reach Guwahati shortly
GUWAHATI: PM Modi has laid the foundation stone and inaugurated numerous projects in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. He is heading back to Guwahati now to inaugurate other projects in this region.
Here, he will lay the foundation stone for a four-lane bridge over the Brahmaputra which will connect Guwahati with North Guwahati. The PM will also commence the construction work of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Changsari near Guwahati, which is expected to see
crowds of upto three lakh people.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Numaligarh Refinery’s bio-diesel plant and the Baruni-Guwahati gas pipeline. These gas projects are expected to connect the state with the national gas grid.
It should be noted that various organisations in the city, including AASU and NESO greeted the prime minister with black flags yesterday, February 9 when he arrived in the city.
