Police busts racket selling blood at Guwahati Medical College
GUWAHATI: Assam police successfully busted a blood racket at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on June 10.
The men involved in the crime were selling blood to patients at exorbitant prices, according to reports. Prior to the bust, the Bhangagarh police had been receiving complaints from people regarding this racket.
The Assam Police Home Guard posted at GMCH caught the four-member racket of men while the Bhangagarh police caught two members. Two others fled from the scene and escaped.
The two menhas have been identified as Bokul Talukdar from Guwahati and Niyakat Ali, a resident of Gauripur.
