GUWAHATI: Chaos marred Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Imphal on Sunday after the police reportedly barricaded the Hapta Kangjeibung ground to prevent people from leaving the meeting which was being addressed by the PM as part of his election campaigning.

Some videos of the rally are now doing the rounds on social media where police personnel are seen preventing people from leaving the venue. As people- mostly women- tried to come out of the gate, they were being pushed inside again by the police.

In another video, a woman is seen climbing out of the tall gates of the venue.

Lok Sabha elections will be held in Manipur in two phases. Voting for Manipur Outer constituency will be held on April 11 while polls for Manipur Inner constituency will take place on April 18.
