Prime accused in Tinsukia BJP leader, Lankeshwar Moran’s attack Arrested
GUWAHATI: The main accused in the assault of the Tinsukia BJP President, Lankeshwar Moran was arrested by Tinsukia Police on February 5.
Police arrested the youth, who has been identified as Sahir Hussain from Barpathar.
On January 30, Tinsukia district president of the BJP, Moran was attacked by a mob of people who were protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in Tinsukia. Moran was attacked when he arrived to attend a meeting organised by the Lok Jagran Manch to “dispel myths” about the Bill. After he was greeted with black flags, a group of protesters assaulted him.
