Residents of Baksa offer prayers for poor roads

GUWAHATI: Residents of Gandhibari village in Tamulpur, Baksa district came up with an innovate way to protest against poor condition of roads in the area.

As per reports, the commuters of the area have been forced to travel by dilapidated roads putting them at risk of accidents and posing problems in everyday commute.

Hoping that their prayers are answered, the residents on Saturday, June 15 held special prayers in the village.

They offered prayers in front of photographs of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, PWD minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary.

According to reports, they have also demanded immediate action from the concerned authorities and have complained that they have been suffering due to poor roads since long.
