Rima Das among GQ’s ‘Most Influential Young Indians of 2018’
GUWAHATI: Taking her achievements, a step ahead, the one-woman-army behind the critically acclaimed ‘Village Rockstars’ and National Award Winning filmmaker Rima Das made it to GQ’s ‘50 Most Influential Young Indians of 2018’.
Rima Das on the accomplishment said “Watching films like ‘Pather Panchali’, I was struck by the simplicity and realness of these stories from different lands. I thought I could do that too, and that way, create roles for myself.”
GQ India came up with a list of accomplished individuals, aged 40 and under, who are leading India’s change among which Rima Das got featured. Sharing the news on her Facebook timeline, Rima thanked GQ for the honour.
Rima Das’s Village Rockstar has won 44 awards at Film Festivals around the world, including four National Awards, and is India’s official entry to the 2019 Oscars in the foreign language category.
