Sonowal proposes to engage Law Graduates as Legal Consultants in all Police Stations
GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed implementation of schemes of Higher Education and Technical Education at Janata Bhawan, Guwahati recently. Various issues regarding the education scenario of the State were discussed in the meeting.
During the meeting, the CM urged officials to engage law graduates as legal consultants in all Police Stations.
It was also directed that the Directorate of Historical & Antiquarian Studies be merged with the Assam State Museum. The CM also directed officials to introduce women-centric courses in the Assam Women's University in line of globally recognised patterns and expedite the process of appointment of VCs of Madhavdev, Bhattadev and Rabindranath Tagore Universities.
