Washing and Sanitizing of Guwahati Taking Place Amid Guwahati Lockdown
GUWAHATI: Immediately after Guwahati was locked down at 6 pm to combat the Covid-19, GMC officials along with Fire Service Department started sanitizing services in the city of Guwahati.
The Gauhati Municipal Corporation personnel were seen washing and santizing public places since 6:30 PM.
To begin with, Janata Bhawan, Panjabari and BN Saikia Roads were being sanitized simultaneously by three dedicated teams involving Guwahati Municipal Corporation and Fire Service.
"It is a very risky job indeed but we have to take up the responsibility for the sake of our city and our people. It will continue till entire city is covered," informed Dwijen Singh, Additional Commissioner of GMC.
